Helping Liba Vineyard Achieve Phosphate-Negative Wastewater

Wiltshire

When Chris Reynolds needed to upgrade the sewage treatment system at his home and glamping site near Salisbury, he was keen to find a flexible solution that worked for his business needs and the environment.

Our Approach

The Wiltshire business owner opted for FujiClean units because of their unique flexibility. Settings can be adjusted to handle wastewater according to different occupancy levels in their glamping pods, an approach that will also help accommodate the growth of the business without the need to install more units.

Meeting nutrient neutrality requirements was also a key consideration. To gain planning permission, any new phosphate from the glamping site needed to be completely offset. The FujiClean systems offer excellent phosphate removal without chemical dosing.

Chris said: “I’m happy to say that with the combination of the upgrade at the house and the new system for the glamping site, we are actually now phosphate-negative – which helped us secure planning permission without costly off-site offsets. It’s better for us, and the beautiful environment we’re situated in!”

Haigh Environmental supplied Chris with two FujiClean sewage treatment plants - the CRXII-5 and CRXII-10.
